The red flag of moral obligation is health and fitness

A red flag offender when consuming health, fitness, and nutrition content and information is the use of moral obligation in people’s systems/models/content/marketing.

“You should…” “You need to…” “You must…” “You really ought to…”

There are no moral obligations or unavoidable requirements in health and fitness.

🗣You don’t “just NEED to cut out carbs”.

🗣There are no “MUST do exercises for a 6 pack”.

🗣There is no instance where “you SHOULD just do cardio to lose weight”.

🗣And there sure as shit is no situation where you “really OUGHT to (do insert slimy marketing demand here)” that doesn’t make sense FOR YOU.

Beware the model verbs (MUST, SHOULD, NEED, OUGHT, etc.) that apply moral judgment to a situation in order to first confound and then compound an issue/insecurity within you, only to then sell you a “simple solution” for the low low price of 4x semi-bi monthly installment rebate stock options of €61.&@.

Though there is an abundance of great information and coaching available, beware of those squeezing your morality and self-esteem to give you a piece of their pie.
