3 things that happen when you do things you don’t want to

When we do the things we planned to do when circumstances aren’t ideal, 3 things happen;

  1. You still get the value of that thing. If you run in the rain, you still get fitter. If you get to the gym when traffic is bad you still get stronger. If you eat nutritious food when you feel like mac and cheese, you still get healthier.

  2. You cast a vote for the person you are trying to become. Ask yourself “what would the person I am trying to be, do?” Act inline with your future goals to strengthen that identity.

  3. When you take action when circumstances aren’t ideal, it makes it easier to do that same thing when they are. Running in the rain when you don’t feel like it makes running in the spring sunshine when you do, much easier.

Action is the only thing that leads to change. Don’t let less than ideal circumstances stop you from taking it.
