How to make gains in < 30 mins

Training variables can be tweaked to help you perform an effective and accurate training session in 30 mins or less.

By using shorter rest periods, we can work to squeeze the same amount of work into less time. This leads to greater intensity/stress, which leads to the need to recover and adapt (the process for progress).

How to do it;

  • Pick 3-6 exercises (say 1-2 upper body, 1-2 lower body, and 1-2 core specific).

  • Perform sets of 10 reps of each exercise for as many total sets/reps as you can in 30 minutes.

  • Keeping all the variables the same, next time you'll try and perform the same amount if reps in less total time (<30 mins).

  • This variable is often called "incomplete rest" or "for time" as we are trying to fit more work into the same amount of time each session and with minimal rest.

  • PRO TIP; For time workouts are best performed with low skill exercises so you can focus on your effort and maintaining your technique as you fatigue.

Here is how that might look 👉👉

Over time you can change the order of exercises, swap them for different exercises, or adjust the load used or reps per set, to increase challenge and provide engagement. You can get in great shape and keep making progress in 30 minutes.
